How an Industrial RO Plant Works
An Industrial RO Plant consists of several stages of purification:
Pre-Treatment
• Removal of sediments, dust, suspended particles
• Reduction of chlorine and organic contaminants
• pH balancing and anti-scalant dosing to protect the membrane
High-Pressure Pump
The water is pressurized to push it through the RO membrane.
High pressure increases permeate flow and improves purification efficiency.
RO Membrane Filtration
• Water passes through a semi-permeable spiral wound membrane
• Dissolved salts, minerals, heavy metals, and microbes are rejected
• Clean water (permeate) moves to the collection tank
• Concentrated impurities (reject water) are drained or reused
Post-Treatment
Depending on industry needs, treated water may undergo:
• UV or ozone disinfection
• pH correction
• Mineral balancing
• Activated carbon polishing
Storage and Distribution
Purified water is stored in a hygienic tank and supplied to the desired application through pumps or pipelines.
